Fire Log: House Fire on Fulton St.; FD Responds to Morrison Avenue to "Help Cops"

A house fire on Fulton Street was started by roof workers who were using propane torches, fire officials said.

Firefighters were called to 259 Fulton St. at about 9:18 a.m. on Friday, March 25 for reports of a fire on the roof of the home, according to a fire department report.

The fire was quickly knocked down and caused only minimal damage to the inside of the home, the report said. Men using propane torches while doing work on the roof started the fire and also tried to extinguish it before calling 911, the report said.

No one was hurt in the fire.

FD Called to "Help Cops"

The Medford Fire Department assisted Medford Police in an investigation at Morrison Park early Thursday morning after a woman alleged she was sexually assaulted there according to police and fire reports.

After an extensive investigation, police determined the allegations were unfounded, police said in a previous statement. No charges are expected.

The event was logged in fire journal as "Help cops" at 12:18 a.m. Thursday.
