Katie Couric to Speak at Tufts On the Heels of Reported CBS Departure

Katie Couric is slated to visit Tufts on April 11.

News anchor -- and possible future syndicated talk show host -- Katie Couric will speak at Tufts University's main campus next week, according to a Tufts press release.

Couric has anchored the CBS Evening News since 2006, but according to numerous media reports, that tenure will be coming to an end. Couric is expected to leave network to launch her own syndicated talk show.

She is slated to speak at Tufts' sixth annual Edward R. Murrow Forum on Issues in Journalism on April 11 at the Tufts campus, where she is expected to address the evolution of today's news industry, according to the press release.
