MBTA Fall Plan Continues Suspension Of 2 Medford Bus Routes
Two bus routes serving Medford, which Mayor Lungo-Koehn says provide a "critical link" to Boston, are not slated to return under the plan.
MEDFORD, MA — Two bus routes suspended under the MBTA's service changes in June are not expected to return this fall, according to the agency's service plan. Routes 325 and 326, which have not run since June 21, serve Medford.
"These routes provide a critical link for Medford residents to Downtown Boston and now, more than ever, providing this link to residents is crucial," Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn wrote on Facebook Monday. "I am deeply disappointed that these routes have been selected for suspension and I have made it clear to the MBTA that I hope these routes will be reinstated."
Right now there are no plans to increase regular service within Medford. The MBTA will hold a virtual public meeting Thursday, Aug. 13 to discuss the fall service plan.
