Medford Chosen For 'End Distracted Driving' Campaign
McGlynn, Belson to attend Boston press conference kicking off program next week.
The City of Medford has been chosen as a lead community by the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (MATA) in their campaign to "End Distracted Driving," according to a statement on the city's website.
The MATA will be holding a press conference at the State House Feb. 4 to announce its participation in the effort. Medford Mayor Michael J. McGlynn and School Superintendent Roy Belson will be attendance at the press conference.
The next morning, McGlynn, Belson, MATA President Timothy C. Kelleher, III and Philadelphia attorney Joel Feldman (who lost his 21-year-old daughter in a distracted driving accident in 2009) will appear at the Caron Theatre at Medford High School.

They will be giving the first presentation of the "End Distracted Driving" program for students at that time.
