Medford Police Investigate Rash Of Break-Ins
Police are warning residents to lock their doors and windows following a recent string of break-ins.
MEDFORD, MA — Police are investigating a rash of house break-ins in Medford. The break-ins have been reported in recent days in the area of Woburn Street, specifically Suffolk Street, Wyman Street and Barnard Road, police said.
The break-ins happened after 10 p.m., and the suspect either gained or attempted access through second-floor windows, police said. In one case, the homeowner noticed the suspect attempting to gain entry, causing him to flee.
Police describe the suspect as a young, tall, black male, possibly in his 20s, with a medium build.

Residents are advised to lock all doors and windows, including those on the second floor that are potentially accessible via a landing, awning or deck, and keep ladders out of view.
