Medford Starts High School Reopening With Senior Class

The district will offer free COVID-19 testing to students and staff as it prepares to bring back 12th grade this week.

MEDFORD, MA — Medford High School seniors are set to begin hybrid instruction this week, Superintendent Marice Edouard-Vincent said Friday. Cohort C will begin in-person learning Thursday, Dec. 10, and Cohort B will return Monday, Dec. 14.

The district is offering free COVID-19 testing to returning students and staff. Testing will be held Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 3-6 p.m. for Cohort C and Friday, Dec. 11 from 3-6 p.m. for Cohort B. All testing will take place at Medford High School.

Grades 9, 10 and 11 will not return until early January, Edouard-Vincent said.

There is also weekly testing for K-8 students who are in school. Testing will run through at least the remainder of the month. Edouard-Vincent demonstrated how testing is conducted in a video message.

Parents who have not returned their child's COVID-19 testing consent form are asked to do so as soon as possible. You can print the form here.
