Music for the Market and Green Line Officials Talk Land-Taking

Good morning, Medford. Here's five things to know today:

If the Green Line Extension project ever reaches Mystic Valley Parkway, land acquisitions to build a station there would be minimal, officials said Wednesday night.

Snow Not So Bad: Earlier this week, forecasters thought we might see some accumulation, but now the National Weather Service predicts more of a rain and snow mix today, with very little or no snow accumulation. Anything that does accumulate will be melted off this weekend, as temperatures are expected to approach 50 degrees with sunny skies.

: City Council Chambers will host live local music at 7 p.m. Saturday in a benefit for the local farmer's market. Featured musicians will include singer Susan Cattaneo, vocalist and guitarist Max Heinegg, and The Michael J. Epstein Memorial Library. If you haven't purchased a ticket yet, you can for $20 in advance at any of the shops listed here. Door price is $25.

: If weather allows, the Medford High boys varsity lacrosse team is expected to play its first home game at 4 p.m. at the high school. They will play Wakefield Memorial.
