Comedic legend Bill Cosby paid a visit to Tufts University last Friday.
Cosby, along with educator and social commentator Alvin F. Poussaint from Harvard University, were honored at the fifth annual Eliot-Pearson Awards for Excellence in Children's Media at Distler Performance Hall at Tufts.
The awards are given every two years to recognize innovation, diversity, non-violence and developmentally appropriate media for children, according to the release from university spokeswoman Katie Cinnamond.

Cosby's work in children and family media includes his sit-com "The Cosby Show," children interview show "Kids Say the Darndest Things," and cartoons "Fat Albert" and "Little Bill."
