Week Ahead: Parks Meeting and Pelosi Visits Tufts

A look at some of the happenings for the Week of April 4 to April 10, 2011.

Softball Starts: The Mustangs first varsity softball home game is slated for 3:45 on Tuesday, when they will face Arlington Catholic.

Parks Meeting Wednesday: Head to city hall at 7 p.m., for a public hearing on city parks. Community planners are looking for input as they begin to create a seven-year action plan for local parks and recreation spaces.

Police Meeting, Too: At the same time as the parks meeting, the police department will hold its monthly meeting at the Police Academy on Main Street.

Pelosi at Tufts Friday: House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi will speak at Cohen Auditorium at Tufts Friday afternoon to discuss the importance of public service and reflect on her political career. It is a ticketed event.
