1) Yes, I got the blues, the summertime blues: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of thunderstorms after 10 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 92. South wind between 6 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Tonight, a slight chance of showers before 9 p.m. Mostly clear, with a low around 67. West wind between 9 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent. (Forecast by the National Weather Service.)

2) Sliding out of reverse into drive, this. We will be turning right, then straight. Off in the sunset she'll ride: (See that clip? I was at that show. Epic.) It has been a busy couple of months here in Melrose, no? Your editor's a little tuckered out (OK, really tuckered out. Knackered, even) so after today I'm on vacation and will return on Monday, July 9.
