3) The city fathers they're trying to endorse the reincarnation of Paul Revere's horse: The aldermen's public service committee meets at 7:25 p.m. tonight, followed by the Appropriations Committee, which will be taking up the Melrose Public Schools budget; the city's contribution to the Northeast Metro Tech budget; and Pine Banks budget. Fire Capt. Christopher Leary's (pictured) appointment to Fire Chief is also on the agenda.
4) Call it education: The Horace Mann School Site Council meets today at 7:30 a.m. and the Roosevelt School Site Council meets today at 8 a.m.
