Free workshop on saving energy in older homes; Hooray for Hollywood at the Milano Center; School Committee meets.

1) On stoic gusts of Northern wind: Sunny, with a high near 43. Breezy, with a west wind between 13 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Tonight, mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. North wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm. (Forecast by the National Weather Service.)

2) In a cold house: The Melrose Energy Commission (MEC) is hosting a free mini-workshop at the Melrose Public Library .

3) Hooray for Hollywood: The Milano Center invites seniors to dress to the nines for this with Jean Dancewicz and Christine Corbett. Attendees will enjoy a musical program featuring Academy Award winning songs and other great songs of the movies, and cast their votes from among the current nominees for the 2012 Academy Awards. There is a $4.00 requested ticket donation.

4) Won't you believe it? Its just my luck. No recess! The Superintendent Search Committee meets tonight at 6:30 p.m., followed by a meeting of the Melrose School Committee at 7 p.m.
