Melrose Schools early release day; Park Commission discusses Mt. Hood audit.

1) Summer's thunder time of year: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. West wind between 6 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Tonight, a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind at 8 mph becoming west. 2) I don't feel tardy. Class dismissed! Today's an early release day for Melrose Public Schools (for teacher professional development). They'll be getting out at 12:30 p.m.

3) Swing, swing, swing: The Melrose Park Commission meets this morning at 8 a.m. to discuss an audit of Mount Hood Golf Course, with public participation scheduled for 9 a.m.

4) Little blue flowers: Join the Milano Senior Center in making a springtime craft today at 11 a.m., brought to you by Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice.  Cost is $3 and you can sign up at the Milano Reception desk or call 781-662-6886. Twenty participants are needed to proceed with this program.
