A female bicyclist was struck by car in Melrose on Thursday morning, fire officials say.The collision took place on the Lynn Fells Parkway at Elm Street just before 11 a.m.

The victim was transported to Mass. General Hospital for treatment. The extent of the woman’s injuries are not known.Fire Crews from Melrose Engine 2 and Rescue 1 responded to the scene to treat the bicyclist.

No further details were made known.

The collision took place on the Lynn Fells Parkway at Elm Street on Thursday morning.
