OutLoud at the Beebe Open Mike Coffee House for poetry, prose, and music features the versatile musical duo Kirsten and Dave, with originals and covers from their CD's Dreams that Just Won't Let Go, and Things You Learn. Their work is distinguished by spirited harmonies, soulful and playful tunes, and gentle directness in their melodies and lyrics--whether in acoustic, country, blues, folk, or bluegrass styles.
Open Mike sign-up is between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m., first-come-first serve. Performances and readings run from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. No cover; donations are accepted for costs and local charity. Coffee, tea, and other refreshments served. At the Beebe Estate's art exhibit space, 235 West Foster, Melrose (www.BeebeEstate.org). Parking available on grounds.
