From our humble beginnings at a table on Congress Street during Portland's First Friday Artwalk, we've grown into a beloved household service with a big climate impact. Today, we service more than 40,000 households, schools, restaurants, businesses, and events across the region. We're expanding our reach with the vision of bringing convenient curbside composting to communities throughout New England. Our ethos is simple: make composting approachable, convenient, and impactful while supporting local economies. Through our work, we're tackling one of the largest contributors to greenhouse gas emissions—food waste in landfills—and turning it into a resource that nourishes the region's soil and farms.

MELROSE, MA — Jen Grigoraitis will be the next City Council President. The Ward 6 City Councilor-elect was chosen Monday night over Ward 1 City Councilor John Tramontozzi at a nonbinding caucus of the incoming City Council class.Grigoraitis had the support of all members outside of Tramontozzi and Ward 5 City Councilor Shawn MacMaster.Tramontozzi will be the longest-serving active City Councilor when the new Council takes place. Eight of the Councilors, including Grigoraitis, will be freshmen.
