In honor of their inauguration on January 13th, all eleven members of the City Council donated to support the Melrose Emergency Fund. Donations exceeded $600. The Fund provides one-time help to Melrose residents in financial emergencies.

“As a Council, we all know how critically important the Emergency Fund can be to residents in crisis and want to do our part to ensure that it continues to be available when needed,” said City Council President and Ward 6 Councilor Jen Grigoraitis in a statement. “It is especially meaningful to collaborate with my fellow councilors to support this fund at the start of our term.”
