Melrose Football Trounces Watertown to Remain Undefeated

Junior running back Mike Pedrini scored four touchdowns to lead Melrose to victory.

The Melrose Red Raiders ran all over the Watertown Red Raiders Friday night. Melrose improved to 4-0 on the season with a 28-7 victory at Fred Green Field.

Junior running back Mike Pedrini was the driving force behind Melrose’s impressive showing. Pedrini tallied four touchdowns, two of which came in the final quarter of play.

Leading 14-7 in the fourth, Pedrini returned an interception for a touchdown and then added his third rushing score before the final gun sounded.

Pedrini now has 10 touchdowns on the season.

The Red Raiders will next be in action on Friday, Oct. 9, against Wilmington.
