The Melrose Red Raiders (0-0) will kick off their 2015 football season on Friday, September 11, in a home contest opposite the Masconomet Regional Chieftains (0-0).The non-conference clash will get underway at 7 p.m.The Red Raiders are ranked 17th in the state to begin the new season. They finished with a 10-3 record last year. Coach Tim Morris will have his team aiming to avenge last season's Super Bowl defeat.Masconomet invades Melrose fresh off a 9-2 season in 2014.
