Melrose Man Shot After Stabbing Trooper: State Police
Nathan Aguilar, 18, was wearing a mask when he pulled up behind a trooper working a safety detail and stabbed him, police said.

MELROSE, MA — An 18-year-old Melrose man was shot by a state trooper after the man stabbed the trooper in Amesbury, State Police said.
Nathan Aguilar was wearing a mask when he pulled up behind the trooper working a safety detail on I-495 South, police said. The trooper shot at Aguilar, striking him at least once and seriously injuring him.
Aguilar remains hospitalized.
