12:19 a.m. — A strange book was found on the ground in a plastic bag; several others were found in the area on sidewalks.

12:45 p.m. — Someone reported a helicopter above the golf course dropping items on the course. They were in fact golf balls.

Tuesday, Sept. 10

8:31 p.m. — A traffic stop on Sylvan Street resulted in a summons being issued to Julian Rivera, 20, of Malden on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a license revoked as a habitual traffic offender and speeding.

Wednesday, Sept. 11

8:24 a.m. — Reports of harassment resulted in Peter Malan, 24, of Lebanon Street, Melrose, being issued a summons on a charge of violating a harassment prevention order.

10:07 a.m. — Lori Sellards, 45, of Lebanon Street, Melrose, was arrested on three warrants.

10:40 a.m. — A traffic stop on West Wyoming resulted in Camil Napoleao, 31, of Everett, being issued a summons on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a crosswalk violation.

11:30 a.m. — Someone called to report a stolen vehicle from the hospital. Richard Ghiozzi, 32, of Medford was issued a summons for using a motor vehicle without authority, third offense.

Friday, Sept. 13

11:54 a.m. — A person from Horace Mann came into the station regarding a booklet that was distributed to the neighborhood Saturday night. The booklet is labeled "The Secret Terrorists." No one was seen dropping them off on Damon Ave.

12:21 p.m. — A well-being check of a man sitting on the curb on Lynn Fells Parkway at Bellevue resulted in the arrest of Daniel Whyte, 37, of Saugus, on charges of possession Class B drug, possession Class E drug and possession/purchase to distribute drug paraphernalia.

Saturday, Sept. 14

12:55 p.m. — A traffic stop at Myrtle and West Foster resulted in Yun Che, 28, of Medford being issued a summons on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

4:08 p.m. — A traffic stop at the Middle School resulted in a Guy Beatty Jr., 38, of Dorchester being issued a summons on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Sunday, Sept. 15

11:53 a.m. — After a caller saw a man in distress on West Wyoming, police issued a summons to Evan Penkethman, 33, of Plymouth on a charge of smelling a substance with toxic vapors.
