Monday, Jan. 16
12:26 p.m. Theft from vehicle on Lebanon Street reported.

2:38 p.m. Caller reports possible domestic disturbance in Lynde Street apartment. A 35-year-old Wakefield man and a 33-year-old Melrose woman were each issued summonses on the charge of assault and battery.
3:59 p.m. Threats reported from Crystal Street.
11:23 p.m. Car slid off road at Green Street at Lynn Fells Parkway and hit two signs.
11:17 p.m. Motor vehicle struck on Main Street due to slippery conditions. Report stated that driver told officer that as he approached red light at Franklin and Main Street, vehicle slid on snowy road, stripped the bench on the sidewalk and struck building, according to Melrose Police Lt. Mark DeCroteau. Building entry way suffered some damage but was not structurally compromised. No injuries.
Tuesday, Jan. 17
12:26 a.m. . Daniel Lavallee, 33, 290 Park St., North Reading, was arrested on charges of attempted murder; assault and battery; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon; breaking and entering into a building during the nighttime for a felony; malicious destruction of property worth more than $250; larceny of a motor vehicle; larceny from a person; and intimidating a witness.
8:26 a.m. Car broken into on Prescott Street.
8:26 a.m. Larceny reported from Island Hill Avenue.
1:40 p.m. Domestic disturbance on East Wyoming Avenue.
Wednesday, Jan. 18
8:23 a.m. Fight in back alley at 880 Main Street. A 33-year-old Salem resident and a 37-year-old Melrose resident were each issued summonses on the charge of assault and battery.
11:04 a.m. Person came into station to report sex offenses. DeCroteau said based on interview with reporting person, will be a coordinated investigation as the alleged assault took place in another jurisdiction. Declined further comment citing ongoing investigation.
4:27 p.m. Couch dumped in woods off Penney Road and Penney Hill Road.
Thursday, Jan. 19
10:45 a.m. Tagging graffiti on pump house.
12:46 p.m. Threats reported from Hurd Street.
4:10 p.m. Caller states male party on ground on Poplar Street next to vehicle. Melrose Police assist State Police with arrest.
Friday, Jan. 20
12:24 p.m. Arrest warrant served at . A 54-year-old Charlestown man was placed under warrant arrest.
4:13 p.m. No parking sign knocked over on Porter Street.
7:19 p.m. 911 call for a stove fire on Cranmore Lane. Fire went out on its own.
Saturday, Jan. 21
9:25 a.m. Caller reports a vehicle accident at Lebanon Street at Upham Street. Terry Hillard, 48, 181 School St. Waltham, was arrested on the charge of driving with a revoked license.
11:51 a.m. Vehicle accident on Lynn Fells Parkway at Stowecroft Road. A 36-year-old Melrose man was issued a summons on the charge of unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
1:06 p.m. Caller from West Emerson Street reports her son is possibly overdosing. Ambulance arrived and treated approximately 22-year-old man, transported him to the hospital for further treatment, DeCroteau said. Substance involved is under investigation.
2:19 p.m. Caller reports child hit tree while sledding at .
5:44 p.m. DPW City Yard called to report a hit and run accident on a sidewalk plow.
Sunday, Jan. 22
12:16 a.m. Domestic disturbance reported on Pleasant Street. Scott Edward McGrath, 47, 137 Pleasant St., Apt. B, Melrose, was arrested on the charges of domestic assault and battery and threat to commit a crime.
11:28 a.m. Wakefield Police request assistance on Hesseltine Avenue with domestic assault and battery. , a female victim reported that Mark Scharaffa, 36, of 713 Main St., Wakefield, first grabbed her after an early-morning argument, then later pushed her to the ground and hit her head into the ground. Scharaffa then left the residence. Wakefield Police located him in Melrose later on in the day and he was taken into custody. Scharaffa will be charged with two counts of domestic assault and battery, and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
12:11 p.m. Caller reports vehicle at Mount Hood slid off road into a tree.
1:36 p.m. Domestic disturbance on Hesseltine Avenue.
4:50 p.m. Caller reports a car off the road into the woods in area of Warwick Road and Lynn Fells Parkway. State Police handling accident.
9:55 p.m. Report of disturbance on Otis Street. Officer reports house party, they will quiet it down for the night.
