Mount Hood to Host 2nd Annual Melrose Veteran Open

Melrose Veteran Services is partnering with the Melrose Veterans Memory Project to raise money for research and city memorial restoration.

The 2nd Annual Melrose Veteran Open pairs veterans and their supporters for a day of outreach and fun at Mount Hood Golf Course. The event will take place on Friday, September 11,

In honor of this year’s event, Melrose Veteran Services is partnering with the Melrose Veterans Memory Project to raise money for veteran research and city memorial restoration.

The main target for raised funds is the continued Knoll Restoration Project. Upgrades will include long-term sustainability improvements including irrigation and lighting. The goal of the project is to return the Knoll to its original intention, honoring Melrose veterans and their extraordinary military service.

The Tournament Features:

  • Team Scramble Format with prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishes
  • Long Drive Competition (Male, Female and Senior)
  • Putting Competition
  • 50/50 Closest to the Pin (can’t give it back!)
  • Event 50/50 Raffle (can’t give it back!)
