Why Go: This is a one-time class—an opportunity to try it without a program long commitment. Your child will explore breathing exercises, yoga poses, group activities as well as rest and meditation as part of the weekly class. Children are natural yogis and will enjoy learning new moves while at the same time building strong body and breath awareness, cooperative skills and self-confidence.

Why Go: Join the Milano Center for a delicious lunch as they celebrate past, current and future love relationships. Directly following lunch, Candis Stout will perform a concert of love songs, along with readings from collected oral histories of love from senior Melrosians. Why Go: Join hike leader Boot Boutwell in searching the Long Pond area for a variety of evergreens as well as other easily recognizable plants of winter. As always, the hike will also focus on some fun and interesting natural history about these plants. Meet at the Long Pond parking lot, South Border Road in Winchester. Why Go: Democrats in Melrose will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2012 nominating convention. Doors open at 7 p.m. and close promptly 7:30 p.m. Delegates to the 2012 Massachusetts Democratic Party nominating convention will select candidates to compete for the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate. The convention will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. The event is a showcase featuring the exceptional and diverse talents of MHS students with special guest, Harvard University's award-winning co ed a cappella group The Opportunes!
