MELROSE, MA — Add Melrose to the list of cities that saw undelivered Amazon packages trashed last week.

A police log entry from Monday, Sept. 23, said a DPW worker found the unopened packages in the trash at Wyoming Cemetery. Amazon confirmed to Patch the packages were dumped by the same person who did the same to packages in Burlington, Swampscott and Malden last Monday. That person is no longer delivering for Amazon.

Amazon retrieved the packages from police departments — including Melrose — and notified people in the event of delivery delays.
