Consigli Construction Awarded High-Profile Projects
Here are five things to know to help inform your day.

1. Milford-based Consigli Construction recently was awarded several notable projects in New England. They include construction of a replacement elementary school for Newtown, CT and a 355-bed residence hall at the University of New Haven. In Massachusetts, Consigli will build the 120,000 square-foot renovation of the Boston Public Library’s historic Johnson Building; the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston; the Jesuits of New England Province Eastern Point Retreat House in Rockport; and the Harvard University Conant Laboratory in Cambridge.
2. Two Milford High School students will be recognized on Thursday by the Milford School Committee. Joiya Sousa and Peter Soomin Bae have received a certificate of academic excellence from the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents.
3. The Friends of the Milford Town Library will host a free lecture Wednesday on the Assassination of John F. Kennedy, 50 years later. In a 90-minute slide presentation, Chris Daley will recreate the events in vivid detail, using witness statements, photographs, diagrams, Mr. Daley’s own pictures and videos of sites in Dallas, and the Zapruder Film. "The lecture will examine the question of lone gunman v. conspiracy by scrutinizing the life of Lee Oswald himself, witness testimony, ballistics, and autopsy evidence. Mr. Daley will attempt to dispel myth and adhere strictly to the facts." The event begins at 7 p.m.
4. The School Committee, in its meeting Thursday, will discuss the Woodland School project.
5. In Case You Missed It: Liane Blyn, owner of Athletic Based Training in Milford, recently spoke at the Milford Rotary Club.
