HOPKINTON, MA — Local police and the Middlesex County DA's office are seeking video footage from along Route 85 around the time of a road rage crash that left Destini Decoff mortally wounded last week.

According to police, Ryan Sweatt, 36, of Milford, drove into Decoff during a confrontation on April 4. Decoff died about two days later at UMass Memorial in Worcester.

According to DA Marian Ryan, Sweatt was involved in an altercation along Route 85 near Cornell's Irish Pub around 6 p.m. with another vehicle that Decoff was riding in. During the confrontation, Decoff and others in their car got out and were standing in the roadway when Sweatt made a U-turn and rammed Decoff, Ryan has said.

Sweatt was initially charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing bodily injury, operating to endanger and a marked lanes violation.

Because the incident took place over a longer stretch of Route 85, authorities are seeking any cell phone, surveillance or home security video that might've captured the moments before the fatal crash. Specifically, authorities are looking from video between Hopkinton Middle School and near 234 Hayden Rowe St., which is close to Cornell's toward Milford.
