Friendly's, Acapulco’s, Lin's Garden: Milford Health Inspections
Milford's health department conducted multiple inspections from Sept. 15 to Dec. 21.

MILFORD, MA—The following inspections were supplied by the Milford Board of Health:
- Central Trattoria, 89 Main St. Violations here include the following. Need to do housekeeping in the very upper level storage room that is becoming cluttered with varying items related and not related to the restaurant, clean and sanitize the manual can opener at the second level kitchen, when working with food in any capacity employees are to wear effective hair restraints, and keep up with cleaning of the bar area floor (floor mats are sticky).
- Dept. of Corrections, 50 Maple St. No violations here.
- Cedar St Mkt., 100 E. Main St . No violations here.
- Friendly’s, 17 Medway Rd. Violations here include the following. Food products in both True Freezers at opposite ends of the main line need to be kept covered during storage, oil for fryers needs to be changed, need to clean the interior of the microwave oven including the top, insulation repairs on the Marlite wall in the main line area need to be made complete foam insulation still showing, floor area between the ice cream chest freezers needs to be cleaned, when working with food employees are to wear effective hair restraints, and mop sink to be cleaned and disinfected. Re-inspection scheduled. Re-inspected on 5-31-17 and found violations corrected.
- K.F.C., 15 Medway Rd. Violations here include. Cover food completely in the walk in freezer ( corn on the cob), need thermometers installed in both walk in units, exterior of the ice machine including the cover could use a cleaning, clean and disinfect the mop sink, and need a new toilet seat for the women’s.
- Golden House, 93 Water St Meat cleavers need to be cleaned and sanitized and stored safely, clean the flat surface area of the wok stations.
- Genesis Health Care, 10 Vet. Mem. Drive No violations here.
- D’Angelo’s, 138 S. Main St. Need a new cutting boards present ones have worn out beyond safe use, need to clean under the flat top grill esp. the edges, mens room toilet needs cleaning and disinfecting.
- Dunkin Donuts, 13 Medway Rd. The base of the large Blodgett oven needs to be cleaned, and some product in the walk in freezer are not safely covered.
- Milford Senior Center, 60 N. Bow St. Clean interiors of both ovens and the 10 burner stove top.
- LaQuinta, 24 Beaver St. No violations here.
- Panera Bread, 91 Medway Rd One violation here. Bread bowls under the hot storage unit should be kept covered to avoid any spills during the course of operation.
- Dunkin Donuts, 31 Main St. Clean the plastic container used to store the long plastic spoons, need hotter hot water in the men’s restroom this is a critical violation which require immediate correction. Re-inspected next day and found critical violation corrected.
- Acapulco’s, 231 E. Main St. Violations here include the following. Hot food products need further faster cooling before placing in the walk in cooler in order to protect the internal temp of the cooler itself, knives are to be clean and sanitized before storage on the magnetic strip, ceiling tile missing above the soda system, keep the rear screen door closed in order to prevent the entrance of pest, a couple of food products (apps) not covered in the small single door prep cooler.
- Phone Start, 104 Main St No violations here. Small convenience with all prepacked foods
- Juniper Farms, Juniper Road, Hudson MA No violations here.
- Pinz, 110 S. Main St. Violations here include one food product left uncovered in the pizza prep 2 door cooler, flat bread left uncovered in the stand alone cooler right next to the pizza prep cooler, clean the edge of the plastic piece inside the ice machine, at the inside bar where condiments are stored need a thermometer installed this applies to the patio bar also.
- Applebee’s, 91 Medway Rd. Violations here included the following. Need to cover appetizers in the 4 door Traulsen cooler, 4 burner stove top needs a good cleaning, and additional frying pans(2) need to be replaced.
- Cornerstones, 11 Birch St. Food slicer needs further cleaning and sanitizing due to food debris on the blade and guard, some food products on the food rack in the walk in cooler not covered, and do not store pizza slicer between knife rack and Marlite wall.
- Blair House, 20 Claflin Utensil storage draw in the corner by the knife rack needs to cleaned and all utensils and equipment in this draw run through the dish machine.
- Prezo’s 299.5 E. Main St. Violations here include the following. Keep back door of the kitchen closed top prevent the entrance of pests, need to clean the fan unit going up the stairs that lead to the dry goods storage room, dishwashing area could use some general cleaning, be sure knives are clean and sanitized before storage in the knife rack, multiple burner stove top needs to be cleaned mostly in the well of the burners where food debris is beginning to build up.
- Mazzarelli’s Bakery, 229 Central St. Need to store 2 food scoops in a safe sanitary manner when not in use.
- Stop & Shop, 196 E. Main St. Violations here include the following. Plexiglas door for the hot holding unit needs to be repaired (broken), internal temp of whole chicken was (165 degrees), do not block hand sink from use in the produce prep area, and grocery storage area in the back ok but could use a little attention in cleaning tight areas.
- New Lin’s Garden 206 E. Main St. Violations here include the following. Bottom section of the rear screen door is in need of repair due to tears in the screen, dispose of cardboard boxes properly and do not pile them up in the mop sink, floor in this same area needs to cleaned also esp. around the water heater, need paper towel for the hand sink in the employee restroom, which also could use cleaning and disinfecting, clean the fan guards in the walk in cooler, knives and cleavers need cleaning and sanitizing to remove food debris also do not store these same knives and cleavers between prep cooler and work table this is not a sanitary areas for storage of equipment, need a new cutting board for the first prep cooler due to deep knife marks that make this area very difficult to sanitize, clean surface area around the hot holding unit, do not cover foods with cloth in the two door freezer, and clean entire stove top. A re-inspection is scheduled.
- Peppercini’s 201 E. Main St. Violations here include the following. Time to change out/replace the grease container, clean the top of the dish machine(exterior), clean exterior of the knife rack next to the employee hand sink, 6 burner stove top and flat op grill at the main line needs to be cleaned, clean the small white shield inside the ice machine, ice scoops cannot be stored in the ice bins at the ice machine(2), Hand sink at the bar is to remain clear and uncluttered available for use. Re-inspected on 8-2-17 and found all but one violation corrected. Exterior grease container still needs to be replaced.
- Shaw’s, 1 Prospect St. Violations here include the following. Mop sink in the produce prep room is a mess and needs to be cleaned and disinfected, cement floor in this same area extending to tow other connected area could use a sweeping, and small chest freezer in the seafood needs to have the inside edge cleaned and the top exterior cleaned.
- 5 Guy’s, 9 Medway Rd. No violations here.
- Big Y, 7 Medway Rd. Need paper towel in the dispenser for the men’s room or a working dispenser.
- Countryside Health Care, 1 Countryside Drive Violations here include the following. Knives are to be cleaned and sanitized before storage in the knife rack and the same knife cleaned inside and out, clean and sanitize the stainless steel utility draw where the food scoops are stored, and clean the based and walls of both ovens.
- Alamo, 55 Medway Rd. Violations here include the following. Knives are to be cleaned and sanitized before storage in the knife rack (violation corrected during the inspection), clean in addition the exterior of the knife rack, clean the surface of the char broiler, and install thermometers where missing or buried.
- Mango Tree, 206 E. Main St. Violations here included the following. Clean the walls and surface area of the mop sink, need to repair the back splash wall by the vegetable sink, repair the baseboard and floor under the three bay sink, clean the floor t the mai9n line, change various ceiling tiles in the kitchen beginning to look dingy. Re-inspected and found violations corrected.
- New Lin’s Garden 206 E. Main St. Violations here include the following. Bottom section of the rear screen door for the kitchen is torn and needs repair, dispose of cardboard boxes properly and do not pile them up in the mop sink, floor in this general area needs cleaning especially around the water heater, need paper towel for the dispenser for the hand sink in the employees restroom which in itself could use cleaning and disinfecting, fan guards in the walk in cooler need to be cleaned very dusty,
- Sky Buffet 340 East Main St. Violations here include the following. Keep the back door of the kitchen closed at all times, in the walk ln freezer cardboard boxes of food cannot be stored on the floor and food in container must be covered, clean and sanitize the manual can opener including the bit, rack used to store the cutting boards is to be cleaned or replaced, in the walk in cooler boxes of fruit cannot be stored on the floor and a bag of carrots also must be stored off the floor, pantry area/storage area needs to be cleaned products covered and brought into some sort of order, tow overhead hood filters are missing (they broke during cleaning and two more have been ordered will be in place this coming Monday), and clean behind the flat top grill and change the Aluminum. Re-inspection scheduled .
- Mango Tree, 206 E. Main St. Violations here include the following. Do not prop the doors (2) open, back screen door in the kitchen does not close tightly at the top this is to be corrected, former (not used now) walk in freezer is now used for storage but this area and outside this area in the immediate area is also becoming cluttered with what appears to be discarded items that need to be disposed of, stand alone chest freezer needs defrosting, prep sink and the three bay sink are in need of cleaning and sanitizing all 4 sinks, both prep coolers are no longer used now and are not plugged in all cold held food is now kept in a stand alone single door glass cooler. Both these coolers are now used for storage or are empty. Both units are to be thoroughly cleaned top to bottom. And entire 10 burner stove unit is to be cleaned including the stove top and all exposed steel surfaces including underneath storage area. A re-inspection is scheduled.
