MILFORD, MA — A local garden club's holiday fundraising gala will return this season.
Greenleaf Garden Club, which promotes gardening and floral design and supports garden-related civic development in Milford, is hosting its annual holiday gala. The event, with a program titled "Designs for the Holidays", will take place on Monday at the Ruth Anne Bleakney Senior Center, at 60 North Bow St.
A large part of the event will be the work of floral designer Sara Vono-Caires, who will create tablescapes for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Vono-Caires is the owner and designer of Fern and Fable, a floral design and preservation studio in Milford.

"Sara brings a love of color, texture, and storytelling into every arrangement she designs," said the Greenleaf Garden Club. "Sara is especially passionate about preserving memories through florals, believing that something as fleeting as a flower can become a cherished piece of art."
All funds raised from the event will help support two scholarships, as well as programs at Countryside Health Care and the Milford Youth Center.
