MILFORD, MA — A Milford man is facing charges after police said he left several threatening voicemails and emails for a detective in town.

Bruno Umbro, 54, was charged with criminal harassment, annoying telephone calls/electronic communications and intimidation of police. Police said Umbro had a warrant out for his arrest after leaving threatening messages for a detective of the Milford Police Department.

“Anyone who threatens or harasses members of the Milford Police Department will be charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” said Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino. “We will not tolerate any officer or their families being subjected to this type of behavior.”
