Milford Elementary School Students Collect Items For Veterans

MILFORD, MA — Just in time for the holidays, students in Milford worked together to help veterans in need.

Fifth-grade students at Woodland Elementary School, along with their teacher, Jenn Alger, collected items to donate to Thanks To Yanks, a local charity dedicated to supporting military families.

Thanks To Yanks founder Michael Shain said that the nonprofit has partnered with Alger and her students for many years.

The students collected various items, such as non-perishable food, clothing, and personal hygiene items. It was donated to both male and female veterans.
