MILFORD, MA — One Milford man's birthday has extra special significance this year.

Milford resident John Choate recently scratched a $1 million prize on the “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler” game. He bought the ticket from a lottery vending machine, and chose dispenser No. 21 because it's the same day as his birthday.

Choate chose to take the one-time lump payment of $650,000. He bought the ticket at Mac Package Store, 86 Prospect St. The store will get a $10,000 bonus from the lottery commission for selling the ticket.
