Milford Nonprofit Collecting Items For Veterans In Need

MILFORD, MA — A Milford-based nonprofit is collecting items for homeless veterans and veterans in need until Nov. 11.

Thanks To Yanks, a local charity dedicated to supporting military families, launched a drive as part of the Imperial Hope for Heroes Campaign.

Donations can be made at any Imperial Cars location. There is one at 300 Fortune Blvd. in Milford and at 8-18 Uxbridge Rd. in Mendon.

Here are the items that veterans need:

• New bedding - twin blankets, sheets
• Gift cards - no more than $10, CVS, Target, Walmart, Stop & Shop
• Hygiene items - deoderant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, feminine hygeine products, shaving cream (no mouthwash with alcohol)
• Non-perishable food items
• New winter hats, white tube socks, sweatshirts, sweatpants
• New men's underwear - large, x-large
• New men's/women's gloves - larges, x-large
• New towels
