Milford PD Charge NY Man For Identity Fraud

Milford Police charged a Staten Island, NY, man with identity fraud following a large withdrawal from an investment portfolio.

MILFORD, MA - The Milford Police Department charged a Staten Island, NY, man with fraud.

In Dec. 2024 the Milford Police were alerted to an unauthorized withdrawal of $30,000 from a Fidelity Investments portfolio. Following an investigation, they identified Jonathan Moore, 34, of Staten Island. Moore had made a $30,000 withdrawal a day after the money was stolen from the victim's account.

Milford detectives obtained a warrant with continental U.S. extradition. On Feb. 10, Moore was arrested by the New York Police Department and is awaiting extradition on charges of larceny over $1,200 and identity fraud.
