The superintendent of Milford Public Schools announced his retirement today.

MILFORD, MA - The superintendent of Milford Public Schools, Dr. Kevin McIntyre, announced he will be retiring in August 2026.

McIntyre will step down in July, but he will remain on staff to mentor the new superintendent during the transition period.

"By planning his retirement well in advance and continuing to support the transition, we are demonstrating our commitment to the future of Milford Public Schools," said Matthew Zacchili, the chair of the Milford School Committee.

The Milford school district is now accepting applications for an new superintendent until 12 p.m. on March 18.
