MILFORD, MA — Summer is almost over for Milford students. The first day of school in the district is coming up on Aug. 28.

• Start date: Aug. 28
• Early release days: Oct. 11, Dec. 6, Jan. 17, March 14, May 23
• Labor Day: Sept. 2
• Rosh Hashanah: Oct. 3
• Indigenous People's/Columbus Day: Oct. 14
• Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 5 (school in session)
• Veterans' Day: Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving break: Nov. 28, 29
• Winter break: Dec. 20 to Jan. 1
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Jan. 20
• February break: Feb. 17 to 21
• April break: April 21 to 25
• Memorial Day: May 26
