UPDATED: Milford Teen Hit by Car on Central Street, Expected to Recover
The teen was taken to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

A 14-year-old girl was struck by a car on Central Street Thursday afternoon and taken by ambulance to a hospital in Worcester with a head injury.
The caller who reported the incident at 4:50 p.m. said the girl was conscious, according to the Milford police log. The vehicle was a Toyota Camry. The driver stopped the car after the collision.
The man driving the car was not cited, said Milford Police Sgt. Ed Varteresian, because police determined the girl had run out into the road. She had exited a car on the opposite side of Central Street, then came out from behind the car and ran into the road.
The car wasn't traveling fast, he said, and the accident reconstruction team deemed it a "low speed" collision.
A firefighter accompanied the girl to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She is expected to be OK and was in stable condition on Friday, Varteresian said.
