Milford Woman Charged With Drug Possession Following Shoplifting

A Milford woman was charged with shoplifting and drug possession after she was caught attempting to steal multiple items from TJ Maxx.

MILFORD, MA - A Milford woman was charged with drug possession following a reported shoplifting, according to the Milford Police Department.

Michelle Howerton, 55, of Milford was caught attempting to steal several items from the TJ Maxx at Medway Road. During her booking process, officers found roughly 9.6 grams of packaged cocaine on her.

Howerton has been charged with shoplifting by concealing merchandise (her third offense) and possession of a class B drug.
