Police Log: Protest-Oriented Car-Honks Draw Noise Complaint, Loud Party

Friday, Nov. 8

7:02 p.m.: A caller reported she was receiving threats from another woman due to an earlier incident. 

7:50 p.m.: A theft was reported at 7-Eleven. A caller said a scruffy looking man was putting items in his pocket. While the caller was phoning police, the other man left the store.

11:49 p.m.: A security officer at Shadowbrook Lane reported six to 12 kids were drinking on the property.

Saturday, Nov. 9

8:46 a.m.: An officer pulled over a car on Medway Road. Police arrested Matthew B. Aron, 25, of 46 Teresa RD., Hopkinton, on charges of speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

9:55 a.m.: A caller on Main at Prospect Streets said protestors were at the location. Passing cars were blowing their horns, causing a noise problem. An officer responded and found the protestors were acting within their rights.

1:15 p.m.: A caller reported a dead cat was in the area of Hayward Street and Mt. Pleasant Street. The animal control officer was contacted.

2:40 p.m.: A caller reported vandalism in the Casey Drive neighborhood.

4:00 p.m.: Kohl's reported a shoplifter in custody. Police were seeking a court summons to charge Zoila Loja, 48, of 50 Pearl St., Milford, with shoplifting more than $100 by asportation.

11:33 p.m.: A loud music complaint came in on Colonial Road. A caller said a driver in a maroon truck was playing loud music.

11:54 p.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Mayhew Slip. Police spoke to the people and they turned down the music.

Sunday, Nov. 10

12:30 a.m.: A caller told police she and her boyfriend were arguing. She said they both had been drinking. Police responded, but the man had left for the night.

12:35 a.m.: A caller on Mayhew Slip said the music had been turned back on. Police responded and the party was dispersed.

1:06 a.m.: A caller asked police to remove her husband from the home. Police responded.

6:36 a.m.: An Audi was repossessed on East Main Street.
