Teen Charged In Milford After E-Bike Collides With Car

Police shared a video of the incident.

MILFORD, MA — The Milford Police Department is continuing to raise concerns about the "perils of riding an e-bike " in town.

A teen was charged after colliding with a car on his e-bike in Milford on Wednesday. The police department shared a video of the incident to show the "lack of safety awareness by riders."

This is not the first E-Bike crash in town. In August, an accident involving a car and an e-bike left a teenage male with serious injuries. His head struck the vehicle's windshield.

“In my thirty years as a paramedic, I have never seen such a rise in brain injuries as we are witnessing since the advent of E-Bikes in our community,” said Police Chief Robert Tusino in a news release from August. “We are asking parents to take an active role by limiting their children’s use of e-bikes and educating them on the very real dangers of operating these vehicles."
