Town Closer To Buying Milford Water Company
The House passed two bills that will get the town closer to purchasing the water company.
MILFORD, MA—Two bills passed on Monday will assist in the purchase of the Milford Water Company for the town, according to reports.
Two acts were sent to the Senate for approval, one that details the stock and property and the other allowing the town to borrow money.
Special Town Meeting voters overwhelmingly approved the purchase of the Milford Water Company, voting 151 to 20 on Article 1 at Special Town Meeting in September of 2017.
