Vince Wilfork Raises Funds for Diabetes Research at Pinz
Patriots lineman Vince Wilfork raised an estimated $300,000 for diabetes research at Pinz in Milford on Thursday.
Employing silent and live auctions, corporate donations and by collecting money at the door, the 10th annual annual NFL draft day party at Pinz in Milford led by Vince Wilfork and his wife, Bianca helped raise funds to support diabetes research.
"The first year it was just us and a few fans, I can't believe it got this big," Wilfork said during the event.
Wilfork's father died in 2002 after living with diabetes for more than a decade.

A live auction helped raise tens of thousands of dollars by selling a trip to Disney World and a dinner with Vince Wilfork to the highest bidder. Organizers estimated the event raised more than $300,000 in total.
Ten percent of the funds raised at Thursday's event will be donated directly to the victims of the recent Boston Marathon bombing.
