Worcester DA To Investigate Crash Involving Milford Selectman

Truck parts were reportedly left on the lawn at a home on Whitewood Road.

MILFORD, MA—The district attorney's office is investigating a crash involving Milford Selectman William Kingkade Jr., police announced.

District Attorney Joseph Early Jr. told Milford Chief Thomas O'Loughlin that his office is conducting an independent investigation into the crash at 12:48 a.m. Sept. 24 on Whitewood Road in Milford.

A caller reported that a white truck struck a telephone pole in front of his house at 26 Whitewood Road and several truck parts were left on the lawn.

On the Monday following the crash, Kingkade told the Milford Daily News, "I'm good, just embarrassed." He was not injured in the crash, which occurred about a quarter -mile from his home.

Early said that an Essex County State Police Detective Unit will investigate the circumstances.

"Any potential prosecution flowing from the matter will be assigned to another district attorney office as 'special prosecution.'"
