Boston Partners In Education Welcomes New Board Member

Alok Kapoor is the newest board member for Boston Partners In Education that will help play a role in BPS.

From Boston Partners in Education: Boston Partners in Education, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students in the Boston Public Schools (BPS) through in-classroom academic mentoring services, welcomes Alok Kapoor as a new addition to the board.

Mr. Kapoor is the Executive Vice President of Enterprise Infrastructure for Fidelity Investments, a leading provider of investment management, retirement planning, brokerage, and other financial products. Prior to joining Fidelity Investment, Mr. Kapoor acted as managing director and chief technology officer of global technology services for Merrill Lynch. He began his 13-year tenure with Merrill Lynch in 1995 as part of the Systems & Network Management Team.

“I am honored to be a part of this organization because I believe every child deserves a positive role model and the opportunity to exceed academically,” said Kapoor. “I’m proud to be part of an organization that connects the community to the classroom and fills a critical need within the Boston Public School system.”

“We are excited to welcome Alok to the Board as we work to plan for the next 50 years of our mentoring students in Boston,” said Pamela Civins, Executive Director of Boston Partners in Education. “Alok’s management skills will be an asset to our already strong and passionate group of board members. I have no doubt he will succeed in furthering the mission of Boston Partners in Education.”

A Milton resident, Mr. Kapoor received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He sits on the Board of Wall Street Technology Association and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
