Curry College President Makes $360,885 Base Pay

Kenneth K. Quigley Jr. president of Curry College, makes nearly 57 percent more than presidents of similar size colleges, according to a study of executive compensation packages in 2010 released recently in the Chronicle of Higher Education.

Among Curry College's cohorts, two women college presidents– Sister Francesca Onley, president of Holy Family University and Sister R. Patricia Fadden, president of Immaculata University, each made $0, while Sister Elizabeth Hill, president of St. Joseph's College in New York made $58,812.

Salaries ranged from $0 that the two religious made in 2010, as college presidents to a little more than the $1-million package for Kevin J. Manning, the president of Stevenson University.

Quigley's compensation package is more in line with Jeffrey R. Docking, the president of Adrian College, whose total compensation for 2010 was $525,463.

The annual review of president's pay "shows that presidents at Bentley University in Waltham, Curry College in Milton, Endicott College in Beverly, and Hampshire College in Amherst all received compensation increases of at least 24 percent and as much as 37 percent in 2010, according to available financial data," reported Boston.com.

Quigley has served 14 years as president of Curry College.
