• Kick Off 2026 with First Day Hikes at Parks Across Massachusetts (thequincysun.com) — Milton residents can ring in 2026 with guided First Day Hikes at Blue Hills Reservation on Jan. 1, including wildlife demos, warming fires, and easy-to-moderate treks. The statewide DCR program offers 16 free hikes, but Blue Hills is the closest option, with hot chocolate, self-guided routes, and a commemorative winter hat while supplies last.
