MassDOT Offering Free Coffee at Route 3 Service Plaza Easter Sunday
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation expects heavy traffic on highways this weekend and offers some ways to get around it, as well as free coffee.

MassDOT encourages travelers to plan ahead and travel safely during the upcoming weekend, with heavy traffic expected due to Easter Sunday observances. The heaviest traffic congestion on I-90 during busy weekends is expected at the I-84 interchange at Exit 9 in Sturbridge and at Exit 11A, I-495.
Before you travel, we invite you to check the live Traffic Cameras web page to view current traffic. The 511 Traveler Information Service provides travel information alerts via email, text or telephone. Motorists traveling I-93 may benefit from downloading the real time traffic management Smartphone application, search ‘MassDOT’ in your app store (the app is currently available for iPhone and Windows Phone platforms). The app displays current travel times on segments of I-93 between Canton and the New Hampshire border. MassDOT, as always, reminds drivers to avoid using cell phones while driving.
Toll collection booths will be adequately staffed to serve cash customers over the weekend. To save time, money and gas, motorists who have not yet done so are encouraged to join E-ZPass to avoid waiting in line at cash toll booths.
