MBTA Shut Down, Milton Trolley Stops Quiet
With a manhunt continuing in Watertown, the Milton stations for the Mattapan Trolley Line are empty.
On a normal Friday, the parking spaces at the Milton MBTA Station would be full and patrons would be waiting to board the Mattapan Trolley at one of several Milton stops. Today, however, is not a normal Friday.
Governor Deval Patrick has ordered that all MBTA services, that includes the T, commuter lines and buses, be suspended indefinitely as police search for one of the two men suspected of killing three and injuring more than 170 people at the Boston Marathon on Monday.
In Milton, there was no police presence at the MBTA stations, just empty parking lots and waiting areas.
