The layoffs would include teachers, administrators and support staff. The School Department presented a $38,379,680 budget for FY 2014, an 8.4 percent increase over this year; however, the Warrant Committee recommended a total budget of <a href="http://www.boston.com/yourtown/news/milton/2013/03/milton_public_schools_set_to_d.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">$37,395,499, nearly $1million</a> below the School Department's request.
