Milton School Calendar 2018-19: First Day of School, Vacations

MILTON, MA — The first day of school in Milton is August 29 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Milton District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

August

• 8/29: First Day of School (Grades 1-12)
• 8/31: No School (Labor Day Weekend)

September

• 9/3: No School (Labor Day)
• 9/4: First Day of School for Pre-K and Kindergarten
• 9/19: No School (Yom Kippur)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/17: K-12 Early Release (Professional Development)

November

• 11/8: K-12 Early Release, Grades 6-12 Parent Teacher Conferences
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day Observed)
• 11/19 - 11/21: Elementary Conference Days (No School for Elementary and K-8; varies by school)
• 11/21 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/6: Grades K-12 Early Release, Grades K-5 Parent Teacher Conferences
• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/2: No School (Professional Development Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/6: K-12 Early Release (Professional Development)
• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (February Break)

March

• 3/7: Grades K-12 Early Release (Professional Development)
• 3/20: After-School/Evening Parent Teacher Conferences

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (April Break)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/2: MHS Graduation
• 6/14: Last Day of School, Half-Day Release
